As soon as my jet touched down on Bangalore's barren soil, I felt the exhaustion settle deeper into my bones. The entire flight had been an extension of my frustration - two days of silence from Aarini, two days of burning anger festering inside me. Yet, I kept it all bottled up. Vedant had taken one look at me before he spoke, "Brother, no work today. I'm completely drained; I need sleep," and vanished into the mansion after stepping out of the car. I wished it could be that easy for me.
